The van drives a different route than the motorcycle route. In addition, if this is unexpectedly necessary during the trip, up to 2 people plus accompanying motorcycles can be transported. (Additional amount per person is € 500,-)

This tour offers riders the chance to see Scotland at its best, where every turn reveals a new view of the awe-inspiring scenery.
During this 12-day adventure, you’ll visit scenic nature parks and legendary islands like the Isle of Arran, Kintyre, and the Isle of Skye. A stop at Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran is included, where you’ll explore a historic castle surrounded by beautiful gardens overlooking the sea. You’ll ride along the famous North Coast 500 route and make a spectacular ascent to Applecross, also known as “Bealach na Bà” – one of the Scottish Highlands’ most impressive roads. Along the way, you’ll pass the mysterious Loch Ness and have the chance to visit the royal Balmoral Castle. The further north you go, the quieter and wilder the surroundings become. The trip includes plenty of stops for ancient castles, serene lochs, and panoramic viewpoints. Thanks to the flexible setup, you set your own pace and choose where you’d like to pause.
In addition to incredible routes, Blue Sky Bike Rides offers an exclusive tour and tasting at a local whisky distillery for an authentic experience of Scottish culture. After a day full of adventure and new impressions, you’ll be warmly welcomed into cozy 3- or 4-star hotels, where you can relax over dinner with a glass of whisky and chat with fellow travelers about the day’s journey.
Ideal for Experienced Riders This motorcycle tour is designed for experienced riders who enjoy challenging roads. With winding routes, steep climbs, and hidden dips, this ride promises an unforgettable experience. The trip is ideal for dual-sport or all-road motorcycles, which can optionally be equipped with saddlebags. Motorcycles and full gear are available for rental, with options to customize for extra comfort upon request.
Practical Details With an average distance of 150 miles (240 km) per day (and one longer day covering 222 miles/357 km), you’ll have ample time to enjoy both the ride and the landscape. A rest day is included to allow you to explore the Isle of Skye at your own pace. No riding is scheduled on arrival and departure days.

All-Inclusive Trips – Adjusting the Total Price Based on Motorcycle Choice
For our all-inclusive trips, we base the standard price on the most expensive motorcycle in our selection. This gives you the flexibility to choose the motorcycle that best suits your preferences.
If you opt for a less expensive motorcycle or decide to use your own, the corresponding amount for that motorcycle (including fuel) will be deducted from the total trip price.
If you choose to ride your own bike, fuel will not be included.

Age Requirements:
Motorbike riders must be at least 25 years old. Duo passengers must be at least 18 years old.
License Requirements:
A valid driver’s or rider’s license is mandatory for all riders throughout the entire trip. Duo passengers are exempt from this requirement.
Riding Experience:
These motorbike trips are not suitable for beginners. The routes involve challenging roads, varying surface quality, long daily distances, extended riding hours, and potentially hazardous local driving habits. Please check the Level of Difficulty for details.
Alcohol Use:
Riders are responsible for their own alcohol consumption. Be aware that local regulations regarding alcohol may vary. As a rule of thumb, it is best to enjoy a drink only at the end of the day. Misuse of alcohol will result in intervention and may lead to termination of your trip.
Medication:
If you use medication, please bring a doctor’s or pharmacist’s list. Important: Are you allowed to drive while using this medication?
Gear and Weather:
Prepare for varying weather conditions depending on the time of year and destination. In Scotland and the Alps, weather can be unpredictable—even though we are called Blue Sky Bike Rides. Packing a rain suit and extra gloves is highly recommended.

Tour Guide Functions:
The tour guide may ride at the front or back of the group, based on the group’s needs.
In Scotland, the tour guide will lead for at least the first day if no one in the group has prior experience riding on the left side of the road.
The guide also acts as a first aid responder and technical assistant, with remote technical backup available if needed.
The guide’s level of involvement with the group can be tailored to your preference. Keep in mind, they are also responsible for managing all local payments.
